Cave diving is a part of scuba diving - but only for the brave few. It requires that you have everything squared away in your mind and diving skills. For Dr Daphne Soares from the University of Maryland, cave diving is part of her job description. She gets visibly excited when talking about cave diving and how it allows her to reach more extreme environments to do her research. What is her research? Brains. Fish Brains. Daphne studies how cave fish have adapted to the harsh environments. It may sound like a dry topic - but not when Daphne talks about it.
