Diving at Coco View Resort, Roatan Honduras
Roatan, Honduras has an extremely healthy reef system which makes it one of the go to places to dive in the Caribbean. Today I talk with Deb Karlson, manager of the dive shop at Coco View Resort about what it’s like there. They have some rooms that are overtop of the water so diving is quite literally right outside your door.

Crazy Critters of Lembeh with Marine Biologist Dimpy
If you want to add a full dose of ‘Wow!’
back into your diving trips then you have to do muck Diving at Lembeh Resort in
Indonesia. I just got back from a trip to the resort and I can say it is
everything you have heard. There is an astonishing cast of weird and wonderful
critters to be found – with new ones being added regularly. The picture to the
left is of an extremely rare Festucalex Rufus Pygmy Pipefish my wife Giny took
off of Bangka Island at Demak.
The long flight to get there is more than
compensated by the wickedly awesome diving experience, resort and staff. I
caught up with resident marine biologist Dimpy and get her thoughts on the muck
diving and the critters, today on Planet Earth Diver.

Shark Shield

Deep Sponge Gardens Tasmania

Diving California's Kelp Forests
The Giant Kelp Forests off of California
are a truly magical place to dive. It is very much like taking a stroll through
a forest with light beams streaming down through the leaves. The sea life there
is abundant and engaging. There’s everything from schools of fish, the Giant
Black Sea Bass which is making a comeback to hyper active dive bombing Sea
Lions. Today I talk with Hal Wells from Hollywood Divers in Los Angeles about

Suunto EON Steel Dive Computer
Suunto has a new dive computer on the market the EON Steel.
It’s their latest which utilizes the bigger brighter color screen – a real plus
for those of us who have older eyes that need that sort of thing. There’s lots
going on under the hood as well; multiple gases, multiple tanks for tech diving
and the display is fully customizable. I talk with Jukka Saarikorpi who heads
up new product development at Suunto about the EON Steel, the Zoop, the RGBM algorithm and what goes into making a dive computer.

360 Abyss Underwater Housing for the GoPro
There’s a new Gopro Housing that’s come to town and it has
captured the imagination of underwater video producers around the world: The
360 Abyss. This new housing allows you to record in 360 degrees, all around
video. I talk with the CEO of 360 Heros Michael Kintner about the latest
version of the 360 Abyss. (The first version got attacked by a shark – Mike
talks about that too!).

Free Diving and Humpback Whales with East Coast Divers
